UPDATED
I attempted to dig out our cars but gave up after 45 minutes, once I realized it was coming down faster than I could shovel it. Can’t wait to see what my back and shoulder feel like tomorrow.
Sorry the next one is blurry, but the wind and snow was blowing right into my face.
Here’s a few more I took after the snow stopped. My shadow on this snow mound is actual size.
My car is under here somewhere

Wow! I hope you’re able to find your car in the morning, Eric. Is it still snowing? Love the first photo. Be safe!

It stopped around 9 p.m. I’m thinking of working from home this week and letting the snow melt around my car!
I added 3 new pics, if you’re curious.

Yowza! Yes, I’d saw working from home is a good call.

I’m letting the sun do as much of the work for me as possible today.

To hell with that.

That’s what I said, but the snow didn’t care. 😉

Have a soak in a hot bath to relax your back and shoulders. And maybe get the candles and flashlights ready in case you lose power.

That’s been my fear. When we lost power after Hurricane Sandy, it didn’t come back for over a week. And that was without 2 feet of snow block access to power lines.

“O the weather outside is frightful/But the fire is soooo delightful…”
If Godzilla showed up it would be a real clusterf%#ck.

It would make for a hell of a blog post, though.

I’m outside Philadelphia, so sharing your misery/delight. I haven’t been brave enough to venture out into it (yet).

Other than the shoveling, it’s fun if you don’t have any travel needs. The power stayed on, which was my main concern. I’m an hour and 15 minutes north of Philly, give or take, so I guess you got hit just about the same as we did.

We’re in Hamilton Square – and got about 12″. People a mile or two away got 22″. Don’t know why – but we’re grateful. Your pictures are much better, though – ours would be piddling piles of white by comparison.

If you can avoid flooding and power outages, it’s kind of fun, but That was enough for one winter.

I don’t think we get to vote. I agree with you, but it’s not up to us NJ voters.
At least they’ve been able to clear most of the roads around here – at twice the snow it would have been horrible.

Can you see your car yet?
I’m just glad you were home and stayed home. If you can work from home, that’s even better. Stay warm.

I let the sun work on it for a day and a half. Still spent quite a while shoveling out there this afternoon. Did you get hit down your way?
January 25th, 2016 at 10:46 pm
There were rumors of flurries but I didn’t see any 😦 We in Floriduh are just hanging loose until the next big hurricane. I hope you’ve seen the worst and last of your winter.
January 25th, 2016 at 11:59 pm
We seems to get a lot of extreme weather in NJ these days.
January 27th, 2016 at 7:41 am
I’d say it was “climate change” but that phrase has been banned from Florida, courtesy of our governor.
January 25th, 2016 at 3:13 pm
Wow. You are probably all buff from shoveling though.
January 25th, 2016 at 8:33 pm
Most definitely. People have been mistaking me for Magic Mike all day. 😉
